Introduction of the doctors

Dr.  ZhongLi: Dr.  ZhongLi  is the director of the Epilepsy Therapy Center. He studied both Chinese medicine and Western medicine in the Military Police Medical College of China and the Capital Medical University, respectively. He has learned from a lot of celebrated medical specialists, and has engaged in clinical therapeutic work and associated researches of epilepsy specifically all along. He has made great breakthrough in therapeutic principles of epilepsy and has accumulated quite plenty of clinical experience after unremitting effort for fifteen years. He creatively divided the entire therapeutic duration into three periods: the medicinal control period, the modulation and confirmation period, and the cure and drug-decrease period, which organically integrated the discrimination theory in Chinese medicine with the orientation and qualitative analysis principles in modern medicine, and integrated the systemic therapy theory in Chinese medicine with the etiology-targeting principle in modern medicine. These double integrations are followed throughout the entire therapy duration. This therapeutic method modulates the simplicity and limitation of previous anti-epilepsy principles and becomes a independent novel strategy. Under the important medical theory of “three periods and double integrations”, the research achievements collaborating with various beneficial specialties for epilepsy therapy significantly improved the cure rate for epilepsy and made many refractory patients get well. Dr. Li makes much creation and exploration in therapeutic methods and conception. He presented three therapeutic viewpoints for the first time in the medical field: (1) Integration of anti-epilepsy therapy with improvement of cerebral function and restoration and regeneration of damaged nerves. This point of view changes the traditional unilateralism therapy by inhibition of epilepsy discharge to bi-directional therapy. (2) Integration of local therapy with systemic therapy. It changes the traditional points of therapy that pays attention to local brain while neglects the excitation of immune function or improvement of defending ability. (3) Organic integration of Chinese medicine and Western medicine. It exerts the advantage of examination techniques in modern medicine and the superiority of therapy in Chinese medicine while reduces or avoids the adverse effects of the drugs.
